SALARY: $65,733-96,897

DESCRIPTION:

Davie County. Progressive county health department located in northwest piedmont, N.C. Agency has good support from the Board of Commissioners, County Administration and a dedicated Board of Health. Staff of 62 positions, in 20 program areas with a $4.53 million budget. Staff is very professional, well trained and compassionate. Collaboration with community service providers is expected. Experienced public health professional with excellent communication skills, positive interpersonal skills, understanding of principles and practice of public health, supervision and personnel management, budgeting and fiscal accountability, is required. Successful candidate understands functioning of public health within local government and administration of state funded public health programs.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • A masters in public health administration and one year experience in health programs or health services; or
  • A masters degree in public health discipline other than public administration and three years of employment experience in health programs or health services; or
  • A masters degree in public administration and at least two years experience in health programs or services; or
  • A masters degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in health programs or health services.
