First,
thank you for the confidence you have all shown in me and
the officers for the upcoming year. It will take all of us
in the Public Health family to help meet the challenges we
face. Pandemic Flu, budget crisis, and declining community
health indicators are just a few of the issues that we all
face which can have major impacts on our communities.
As
we develop our plan of action we will rely on the knowledge
and skills that each of you bring. With that said, it is
important that you are involved with the work of the NCALHD
in the committees, sharing, developing ideas, positions and
actions. Help communicate our work to the communities, leadership,
and liaisons.
The challenges
ahead are many, but one by one and with the help of each
other we can rise to meet each of them.
