Representative
Rick Glazier is now in his third term, fifth year in the
Legislature. He has been instrumental in introducing and supporting
many public health initiatives during his tenure in the General
Assembly. He regularly contacts local health directors for opinions
on public health issues during House sessions. He attended South
Central Partnership for Public Health meetings and even showcased
initiatives to be undertaken with incubator funding which he supported
in 2006.
Rick is very
well respected in his district and indeed across the state because
of his innovative and ambitious legislative initiatives. He has
been a role model in Fayetteville and Cumberland County due to
his involvement with the school board and other community roles
and responsibilities. Representative
Rick Glazier is a very hard worker and a true friend to public
health and the citizens of North Carolina. Rick represents the
personification of what’s right in
public health advocacy and progress in our State.
